Title: videos in youtuber.. is it real?
Post by: aarnold on December 07, 2007, 11:01:16 AM
Hi friends,
I found this in youtube when searching for Halbach arrays... is it possible?

QuoteA device I call Tractormag which sits behind the wall is spinning the disc. The black rings are capture devices I use to hold the disc in one spot. The rings are not Halbach Rings as one person has said. Without the rings the disc would move about. The disc are spinnig at around 6000 rpm's.The speed can be raised or lowered. I can sell a kit for 100.00 dollars for anyone interested. The kit will include a capture ring, one neo, one ceramic magnet and a Tractormag to drive the disc.

so does anyone have any insight as to what this "TractorMag" device is/does?

im assuming it creates an intense magnetic field - apparently stretching at least 2 feet in length.

some kind of coil? probably fed by A/C power.

if i had to guess, id say a homemade electromagnet, or a speaker coil (with the cone removed)

My guess its some type of a small solid state DC oscillator circuit powering a very large diameter air core wire loop or ring. Double wire windings in the loop.

If any electronc gurus are looking at this please post your circuit idea that might replicate this device.

Hi Folks,

This tracmag device has been a topic here: http://www.overunity.com/index.php/topic,3114.0.html

'tractormag' is a member here, his device is probably still under a pending patent?

If this device is powered by an external source, as it appears to be, it is to be ignored out of hand. This forum discusses possibilities to create devices violating CoE, not devices run by externally input energy.

A Hydrogen bomb blast is started by a small chemical explosion. That triggers an atomic blast which in turn triggers a hydrogen blast.

The moral of this story is that little power or in this case a little powered device can be the gateway to learning more about any greater untapped energy that can be liberated.

The bomb developers thought outside the box.

There's no evidence that such analogy is deserved. What is shown in the video is trivial and is to be ignored. No  nuclear bomb can come out of trivialities.

i have to agree with that,.tha atomic bomb analogy is not compatible with this device.
there is no exponential energy increase.
what i see here is an object responding to the fluxuations of a much stronger, moving-magnetic field.

There is most certainly a great deal of energy lost creating this moving field - therefore at best this is simply an example of a very inneficient method of creating motion at a distance.

Well, that's trivial.

Did anyone reading this spin a huge neo magnet at 6,000 or better RPM and see what happens with non ferrous metals contacting the magnet?  Enough said.

If you have not done this then try it before you affix any label.
