I started this thread to find out what will resist a frequency so we can use it to rub a frequency against to create electric.
What will resist a frequency?
Any body with a resonant frequency far removed from the frequency in question.
A resonant body will accept energy at its own level of resonance and reject energy far removed from its own level of resonance (standard physics)

I am thinking that one frequency will resist another frequency so lets order a frequency from one way and another frequency from the opposite and wrap a wire around them and see what kind of reading we get.

hansvonlieven, you mentioned that Keely talked about three vibrating frequencies. Do you think they would resist each other? And if so, do have any idea of what those frequencies are?

I also am wondering if a magnetic field is a frenquecies resistance.
Frequency is a wave or a pulse....and everthing has one.Depending on timing some waves travelling in different directions will cancel or partly cancel each other.Its all about phasing of peaks and troughs

A high pass filter stop let all but the higher frequencies than the target frequency through (let them pass).
The low pass filter will do the opposite.
Wikipedia should have examples of the math needed to figure the frequencies.
A band-stop filter will all allow all but a narrow band or frequencies through (notch filter).
The thread starter, nightlife, may have been looking for a band-stop filter.
