Title: Manufactering a vehicle that the world will use!
Post by: ddsurf on February 16, 2008, 07:22:43 PM
Hello, I am not the average crack pot building a car. I am not the average home owner building a car. I have been in the auto industry for 20 plus years.
I am starting with a Carbon fiber frame and building every aspect of the vehicle. Taking into consideration that every vibration must return a type of power.
Yes even when you sit in the seat it will generate a voltage.
Yes when it hits a bump and the springs condense it will generate voltage.
Yes when tires turn, air moves across its very surface it will power something.
Yes when the very temp changes of the vehicle it will generate power.

I am seeking true grass rooots input for Generators, motors, air compressors, metals, cloth, every aspect of a car. Folks if you have been working at home and saying "man this is it this works better than anything on the market wish i had to the funds to produce" . Well this is your chance. Every part of this vehicle will be manufactured, documented and publicly advertised. We are building this in a VERY VERY small city in no where america and will not release location till vehicle is on the road. We are seriously looking at every item we see to validate if it is possible.

Please do not send me theories. Send me links to working items with true economical outputs, scale and other information we need to evaluate the work. If we find your work appropriate to our work we will bring you to our location.
thank you
r/d team

how about covering the car in solar panel skin so when its working on the road and or just sitting there parked its charging, when your home you can plug it into your house to power your heater?...how about the idea of getting rid of old heavey batterys and finding something lite that will hold a charge?, something like super caps, this is just an idea, i really dont know how this stuff works.any way good luck with it, i hope it works out for you.

how about every time you go over a bump or anything , the shocks or springs compresses a large piezoelectric element.... like a big grill lighter

i don't know if anyone makes these, but maybe a company could do a special order.... :-\

not sure how many bumps one of devices could take though.....

hope this helps....

or instead of just one big piezoelectric element, a bunch of little ones at the base of the spring.

will it also take energy from sound waves, and radio waves? (and all other raditation)

There is a generator that takes energy from sound waves, can't find the link now though.

this is designed for use in the ocean, but you can simply interchange words like "sea floor" and "chassis".  this is what you want to use on virtually all moving/vibrating parts to harness this energy.

solenoids can be designed to fit the exact range of force in your design - and the power equations are well known in industry.

you want your range ro accomodate the weight variance of multiple passengers or only 1.
ive seen shock absorbers designed like this in theory. im not sure if they would be physically too large when you support a car mass such as 1.5-2 tons, that would take some research.

but i could easily see 150-200 solednoid generators dispursed throughout the car, on the engine mounts, ect. to harvest wasted energy while the car is in motion.

Also,  i highly recommend purchasing your generator/braking system from Honda.
they make the best electromagnetic-braking systems in the world, and are already industry proven in several of their hybrid vehicles.
