Title: Capacitor Energy Flow

If you connected a battery and a capacitor in parallel in a scenario 1 and in the a scenario 2 connected a capacitor to another capacitor in parallel and in both scenarios you place a resistive light bulb in the connection path...
Given:
Light bulbs are identical in their resistive property.
Equal capacitance of the caps.
The Voltage of the battery in scenario 1 is 1/2 the voltage of one of the charging cap in scenario 2.
"Receiving caps" are at zero voltage.

I ran this scenarios and what I observed is as follows:
The bulb in scenario 2 lights up brighter than the bulb in scenario 1.
The "receiving caps" are charged to the same amount.

Anyone care to explain why the "receiving caps" are "charged" to the same degree in both scenarios and yet the bulbs seem to indicate a higher energy flow through the bulb in scenario 2.
