I'm working on a new project of which I will later upload pic and vids but I need to know how to amplify my electro magnet? Lets say I have a power source of only 2 volts going to my electro magnet and I want to boost that power either directly from the e-magnet or going to it.....
any help greatly appreciated

Howdy,
OK, to boost the power of the 2 volt supply going to the electromagnet use the the 2 volts to light an LED. The LED would be close in proximity to a photo diode switch. When the photo diode is illuminated it completes a circuit that energizes a relay coil. The relay actuates closing a set of dry contacts within it. The contacts are connected in parallel to the starter switch on a gasoline generator. The gasoline generator starts, and you can turn off the LED now, BTW, or risk starter and flywheel damage. The electromagnet is connected to the generators output which should be in the neighborhood of 120VAC at 15 Amps, or 1800 watts. Be sure to have to have the electromagnet attached and be standing far away from the generator before lighting the LED. Depending on the quality of the electromagnet it might spew molten copper all over the room with a loud POP! Don't forget to wear your safety glasses, hopefully they are very stylish like my OSHA approved safety glasses, and welders gloves, yeah, don't forget the gloves!
