Title: super simple pwm that is scaleable
Post by: innovation_station on June 20, 2008, 01:04:17 AM
yep i need 1 of thease that i can build myself so i spoke to a few friends to see there best suggestions this is what we found in some serches on the net

http://www.dprg.org/tutorials/2005-11a/index.html

now from what i am learning and im no electronics guy  you can just add more fets to control more current

so i need a pwm that can handle 40 amps at 12vdc and i dont want to buy one  8)

also i have a super simple solution to warm up the cell  8)

cuz we all know production is much more in hot water

solution is this

i have a high current cell it draws almost 40 amp cold in just tap water  i will use a 40 or 50 amp relay to turn it on the relay must be rated at that amparage rateing contunious ok then i will have a curcuit breaker rated at 50 amps now i want my cell to get hot so it will be run dirrect from the battery until it heats up then the current draw will trip the breaker and shut of the supply  8)

verry simple and easy  now my cell will be at operating temp  and as the breaker trips it turns on the PWM and my cell will be pulsed at 30 -40 amps in hot water the breaker should be located inside the car so when you turn of the cell and it cools you just reset the breaker and start the process agin  ;D

just a few thoughts i thought i would share with you all  forgive me if this has already been covered

here is a link for an anstable 555 curcuit it is said to work well in this type of appclation also on this link is a caluclator to calc the values of the componments for the desired freq and pluse and such just needs the fets drawn in

http://home.cogeco.ca/~rpaisley4/LM555.html#4

could use a little help on this

so this morning i drew up the wireing digrams for the complete system i am figureing out the rest of it but i will be posting the wireing digram soon and the componments used
this is for the entire system excludeing what still needs work  yes there is work to do but with the skills of the people here it should be a breeze   8)

the pwm will be left out as i have to build it and stuff but the overall wireing should cover most saftey issues

i will need mods to the pwm to allow it to monitor the current in the primary feed and when it stops the pwm will engage and the cell will be run off the secondary feed  :)

i will be hopefully be posting this digram latter on today

it is the simplest sulotion i have found   for the IST HOO-KA CELL  high current version at operating temp it is pushing lots of gas

Hi !

Buy a Gated Pulse Generator from www.Aquapulser.com.

It works at 12VDC, 6 Amp max and offers a freq range of 500 KHz. Also, it has the option of oscillator circuit and using gating too. It has inbuilt digital Amp meter too.

I have developed this circuit and available for researchers thru my partner in USA.

For any further info. pls. do contact me.

Did  you end up building  this   PWM?

I need to  make  a few  PMWs  to test some of my ideas .

This  design  looks   simpler  than  any others I have seen .
