VERRY SIMPLE TEST....
use a 4 ga power wire for car audio as a power supply cable from a battery wind a coil over it .... pass the current you plan to use in the system through the 4 ga wire first then power the pwm from it and impose the hv kick back through inductance to the current supply wire thuss adding the hv kick to the the supply current
this needs more expairmenting ....
however there vids out there.... ;D
just have a look around the tube ...

Strangely enough my next steps are along similar lines as follows:
1) Try and achieve resonance. I have purchased a capacitance and inductance meter from ebay . When this arrives I will then measure my cell capacitance to calculate the frequency needed to create resonance. The formula is:
f = 1/(2 x pi x square root(L x C))
Then I will see what voltage spikes this produces and the resulting gas output.
2) If it looks as if the gas output is insufficient resonanting on a 12Vdc supply, then I will connect a step up transformer (say 50 to 1) to my PWM circuit.
All being well this should produce a decent gas output.
If not, then I have absolutely no idea where to go from there. I firmly believe that resonance is the answer (switched dc in an L-C circuit), and not plain dc which is never liely to achieve over unity.
The L-C meter may take a few days to arrive from Hong Kong though.

yes the meter is a handy tool ....
i bought mine bout a month ago or so i have only powered it up once tho just soooo much to do .....
it hooks into the puter so i can take screen shots to display the out put and the input as well i have collected a great deal of tools in the past months to test with includeing an awsome tube amp or 3 lol ;)
even the bucket i made a wile ago has never been fired up ..... it is the dubbel hetodyneing smasher ;D 8) just never enough time .... to play
