Title: Magnetic Modeling Software
Post by: polymorphic on September 29, 2005, 12:59:34 PM
Hello everyone - long time lurker from the Yahoo group days, first time poster.

I have a lot of good ideas and models for magnetic motor designs, but of course it is expensive to physically model out each design to test. Can anyone recommend a good magnetic modeling program? I would prefer a Linux or Java program, but a Windows one would be workable as well. I would like to be able to model magnetic field patterns and actual motor designs if possible.

Thanks

But they won't make you happy.....remember.....hands on beats a hand out, hands down.

Garbage in, garbage out.

Peace,

thanks - I do intend to do a lot more actual hands-on modeling, but at least I can try to model a few things in software and possibly throw out completely flawed ideas, or grow new thoughts.

I'll give them a shot, and I hope to submit a couple of my ideas soon for review and suggestions
