Title: Biowerx Work
Post by: Rosphere on July 13, 2008, 10:21:32 AM
@biowerx,

Here are some photos of some work that I did this morning with the parts that we purchased yesterday.

The main jet shoots up 36 inches, from the top of the unit, using the 1/2" fitting alone.

Using all nine nozzle ports makes little droplets, not so much a fine mist.

So....
Wonder what the spray would look like with the manifold half plugged or eight plugged ?
Wonderful job so far !!! Good luck with your DIY bidet  ;)

As Mr. Burns would say:       Excellent....

Right!!!

So... seeds or cuttings could be inserted inside an exposed net pot or mesh pouch hanging down through the holes . I gotta wonder if an ultrasonic fogger could be alternated with the low pressure mag pump ( both timed to allow for roots to breath ) for maximum coverage.

Here's some of my  ta-duze

Looking for a range of 5 to 100 micron droplet size.
Sterilizing tub and accessories with diluted H2O2 and distilled water.
Germinating by moist paper towel , gauze and will also try bio dome trays with a monocrop of either
Ginseng or Crocus sativus for fast results. ::)
Seed priming overnight. Under tray heating mat between 74 -80F
Get fogger from Rosphere in exchange for my working TPU  :P - sorry
If tub can't germinate seeds, I'll put the sprouts in tub holes after the seed leaves have gone -
(Neoprene inserts). Caution handling the delicate stems and roots and watch for damp off.
After biomass destruction, call Monsanto for patented, gm seeds and more Roundup.

Ah, hydroponics.. I have dabbled with it some.. You are gonna pulse that mist of water, correct?  Over exposure to H2O will drowned out your roots.. So a pulsed mist every few minutes usually works best to allow more oxygen to reach the root system.. So far it looks alright..

Good Luck

Thanks for the luck !
A short period of nute spray followed by a longer period of oxygen (air exchange) and no spray. The on and off cycles are the real fine tuning. Lots of ways to do hydro and aero and many are good.
Lots of helpful people on the internet. I'ts cool seeing so many different ideas emerging out there.
I learn something every day. I found out today how much louder a HIGH pressure pump is - yowsa !

Trying to keep energy needs down so when I set it up in the desert, I can run off solar, wind and prayer.

Cheers.
