Is anyone else getting this annoying recording...which I cannot get rid of ?
I left another site in the past, because the administrator allowed annoying pop-up ads...every time the browser was refreshed.
I am sure others find this as offensive also...and I will be not be posting here anymore if this persists...which may have been the objective of the ad.
Shoving something in someone's face repeatedly is the ultimate show of disrespect.

Or use the Flashblock add-on. This is the first site I had to use it. Really annoying. Maybe Stefan could consider a subscription service where one can download a snapshot of the site and view the site without
any ads.
Use firefox with NoScript extension.
It will block every annoying thing in the world, if you wish.

WAY big annoying (especially since I run 40-50 tabs at startup)!!!
I suppose if it's what he needs to do to afford a dedicated server, I can deal with the added work of tracking down the offending URL in trafshow and filtering it @ the firewall or with a Mozilla add-on.
I suppose what would really make sense is asking Stephan if this is his doing, or a "little added bonus" of the huge water4gas advertisement on the front page.
BRB...........
Ad-block Plus with Easylist filters works well (at least this launch).
The offensive URL is http://water4gas.com/home_player.swf
BASTIGES!
;)
Thank you for your helpful suggestions...but after 2 failed attempts to follow those instructions I have decided to move on...and will cease being a contributing member here, resuming my former status as an observer...until the situation changes or my desire to participate fades.
I have come to believe we should go where the winds of life take us.

Hi
Don't go
I installed both programs mentioned in this thread and no more annoyance.
It should not have been our call though.
