hi to everyone on the forum...
i'm trying to make some basic calculations regarding the energy output froma project i'm working on.
in the attached image, i have a styrofoam cube (upward lift force of 110lbs ), attached to a chain at depth of 15 ft. is there any way to get an estimate as to how much anergy that would generate if there was a generator attached at the top....i really would appreciate your opinions before i spend cash on building it..:))))

When dealing with water or fluids in a flotation type of device, no gains but impressive action when the Styrofoam cube comes up. But how to put it down again to repeat. Then in other types there is fluid displacement problems in you gain and loose at the same time, again no overall gains.
But good luck on your searching.
i actually wanted just a formula of some sort, this is not intended as some overunity device or free enrgy.
just supposedly the cube is already underwater..
