Title: UnetBootin the best USB drive Linux partition tool
Post by: hartiberlin on October 01, 2008, 08:36:20 PM
Hi All,
I tested 2 days ago the programm:
UnetBootin

http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

It is a very niceprogram to partition

Linux ISO file distribution to fit on a USB thumb key drive,
so you can boot a Live-CD from an USB drive and thus
can test various Linux distributions with just a USB drive.

You donÃ,´t need a  harddisk anymore with it and this way can also
create fast booting Linux systems this way, if you have a fast USB key
and you motherboard supports USB drive booting.

I tested it with the new MINT 5.x distribution and I was amazed,
what video files it can play smoothly "out of the box"
without installing any codecs...

It can even play HD 720p MOV files from my Aiptek AHD200 camera.

So test this out.
Get a few USB sticks and install the different OSs to test them out.

Hope this helps.

Regards, Stefan.
