the new trend in computing is now to modify
its own motherboard BIOS and get a LinuxBios
into the Bios and have a graphical Linux distribution
started in 7 seconds ,like this video shows it:

There are some great people out there that have created these
open source Bios files for some motherboards.
Have a look at it:
www.coreboot.org
Please support them, so we will soon have
a XBMC media center software or a small
Ubuntu or other Linux distribution running just inside the Bios
chip.
