Greetings All.
I was just thinking about permanent magnet alternators and had a thought regarding a new design for cascading the EMF from a rare earth magnet to obtain even more energy from the EMF generated.
The question is: If I pass a permanent magnet past a coil, the coil generates a current from the magnetic flux, right? Now, if I'm not mistaken, there should also be a magnetic flux created in the coil.
What happens if I pass another coil past the first stimulated coil, but in the opposite direction and all of these happen at the same time?
Would that not extend or cascade the magnetic flux from the permanent magnet to the first coil and then the second?
I imagine there would be some losses, but I'm intrigued.
Has anybody tried this or heard of it? Please post links and thoughtful commentary. Thank you.
Peace,
