This idea came to me after watching a video on how a pistol shrimp can stun its victim using a high powered jet of water, this causes something called a cavitation bubble that is actually a vacuum inside, when it collapses it heats up to temperatures as hot as the sun, quite amazing when you think about it.
This reminded me of a few things I had seen in the past, anyone remember the hydrosonic pump? this simple water hammering heater could produce more energy in the form of steam than it took to run, I saw this about 15 years ago in a documentary (ill give all the links at the bottom), of course back then like now anything that claims more energy out than in without a known source is dismissed as impossible even if it actually works, I looked up online for more info on cavitation, sonoluminescence and fusion, my thinking is the device works on known physics, its actually doing fusion by brute force, it creates the cavitation bubbles which collapse and heat up as hot as the sun and any free hydrogen in the water is fused, probably in the process other hydrogen is freed from the water as well so continuing the process.
Cavitation is actually pretty easy to create and doesn't require anything too complex like they do in sonoluminescence using sound waves, propellers can suffer from it and actually be destroyed by erosion over time, fusion requires hydrogen which is usually in the form of deuterium I believe, so im thinking why not make it work easier by doing electrolysis, that way you can free the hydrogen in the form of h2 deuterium and let the cavitation fuse it, there's also the possibility that the free hydrogen and oxygen will burn when the bubbles gets to a certain temp while they're collapsing, this will cause implosion as well which may increase the likelihood of fusion and more energy back from the electrolysis.
I have since tried a few experiments but sadly I lack the materials and know how to make anything decent, all it should take is a well sealed container to keep pressure and a high speed motor with a well shaped end to maximise the cavitation bubbles, though a hydrosonic pump design may be better its also bigger and a bit harder to make, if it creates steam you can run a turbine and generate electricity, if its all efficient it will run itself and then some, let me know what you think, hopefully some of the clever people here can build one much better than my simple attempt and take it on to the next level!

Is this info from reliable source?i mean about the temperatures produced?
I like ur idea and explanation of cavitation working.
Yeah its for real, check out the Sonoluminescence documentary, it shows these bubbles producing light so the temps get very hot, who knows what else might be going on inside, perhaps energy is coming from the vacuum or from fusion, also if you look at the second video it shows a spark producing a cavitation bubble in slow motion, so sparks can do it too and i believe people have played with sparks under water like that, not sure whether they knew what was happening though, cavitation no doubt and some electrolysis at the same time which would explain the excess heat in those setups!
Such an amazing creation, the pistol shrimp!
Which begs the question, what gain waits for man in clumsily attempting to reverse engineer God's handiwork?

Look what he ends up doing with that which he copies from our Father. I find it just slightly hypocritical for instance, that scientists, while seeking to create 'man' in his own image via android technologies, laughs at the biblical account of Yahweh creating man in His own image by taking a rib from Adam to make Eve. Many people don't know that the rib is the only bone in the human body which will grow back every time it is removed carefully. Interesting, no? Man now has the ability to take up to 6 ribs at a time from the human body for bone marrow transplants, DNA research, even to clone a person if they wanted to, yet these same men deny that One greater than ourselves has already done it, as faithfully recorded in the bible. Of course, if the bible writers were high on pot, as some detractors claim, then they sure guessed correctly out of 214 more bone choices they could have picked! Of course, there are many facts in the bible that go on to prove conclusively that it is the Word of the Almighty.
Reminds me of the old joke regarding man's limitless arrogance and presumption:
One day a group of scientists got together and decided that man had come a
long way and no longer needed God.
So, they picked one scientist to go and tell Him that they were done with
Him.
The scientist walked up to God and said, "God, we've decided that we no
longer need you. We're to the point that we can clone people and do many
miraculous things, so why don't you just go on and get lost."
God listened very patiently and kindly to the man.
After the scientist was done talking, God said, "Very well, how about this?
Let's say we have a man-making contest?"
To which the scientist replied, "Okay, great!"
But God added, "Now, we're going to do this just like I did back in the old
days with Adam."
The scientist said, "Sure, no problem," and bent down and grabbed himself a
handful of dirt.
God looked at him and said, "No, no, no. First you go get your own dirt!"
The pistol shrimp is an amazing critter. One of myriads of amazing creatures. Here are just a few more examples:
The Atlas moth has been observed by Entymologists using it's wings in defense against predators

The Owl Butterfly has been witnessed flipping over to display it's wings to scare off birds in search of a quick snack, it's reproduction of the owl's eyes is accurate right down to the pupil glint, also notice the smaller eyes up top if viewed from the side appear as a snake's head including nostril:

The hawk moth larvae will twist over and drop down a menacing snake's head to avoid being eaten, of course it only does this by complete accident, with no consideration, preprogrammed or ortherwise, to it's own safety. It's all just blind chance, you know. (lol)

Blind evolutionary accidents, or a loving, fantastically amazing superintelligence? Let each decide wisely as the hour, indeed, grows late.

Ain't blind chance mindless evolution grand?
Evolution....oh what a tangled web we weave, when we practice to deceive....
Ourselves.
Earth has become like the Titanic. The iceberg? Our massive, malignant, collective superego
Of course, there's still space left on Noah's Ark:
http://www.wyattmuseum.com/noahs-ark.htm
All aboard!
As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come (Matthew 24:37-42).

No disrespect intended, but a little more science and less religion please! This is a really interesting subject, I would like to see some more info about recreating this, in a scientific way. I do not have the means to do so myself. Has anyone else worked with this concept at all?
QuoteNo disrespect intended, but a little more science and less religion please! .
No worries. None taken.
In my limited opinion, the scientific establishment is it's own religion.....and a false one at that. But, to each his own.

Sure they have, Joe Griggs hydrosonic pump example has matured into:

While i found your posts interesting TechStuf, especially the video, i would like to keep this thread reasonably on topic, though i will say i think religion really doesn't belong here, its one thing to believe in the possibility of a creator its another to listen to what most of these religions have to say.
Quoteits one thing to believe in the possibility of a creator its another to listen to what most of these religions have to say.
Quite!
Please forgive my enthusiasm. Good to see you back in your topic! If it's any consolation, I did mention perhaps the most notable example of cavitation energy exploitation outside the animal kingdom, the hydrosonic pump of Joe Griggs. The corporation resultant of his efforts, Hydrodynamics Inc., is quietly installing devices which output more heat energy than taken in as electrical energy, around the world.
I guess the main thrust of my observation is that, while a man may devote the best years of his life to studying the fluid dynamics of a single drop of fluid, simpletons among us are often blessed to see the signposts to much greater understanding than, say, even 'bubble fusion'.
I highly recommend Ben Stein's movie: "Expelled".
As with all things, odds are that Someone's version of a particular truth is correct. It is often the case that such truths have proven well worth digging for.....
Roger Stringham has done some interesting work with accoustic cavitation:

Cavitation (and impingement corrosion) may be possibly linked to the sticky tape X ray production concept. This radiation emission, where fluids are forced to cavitate, was studied to a limited extent by physicists at Mcmaster university in the sixties, and later by Ontario Hydro physicists. This is a very fertile area for further exploration. There may be more link ups possible regarding this energy phenomena.
Cheers
I do beleive Ponds and Fl... did get some unexplained heat bursts but think another newly discovered source was at work. I believe some of the pellets in the water were either skeletal catalysts or became said from long duration chemical reactions. A recent patent by Cal-tech and confirmation of overunit of Black Light fuel cell by Rowan University point to casimir effect trapping hydrogen in 2nm or smaller cavities that restrict vacumn fluctuation. If the hydrogen atoms happen to form a molecular bond while still in these "casimir cavities" the relaxex orientation is locked into position. When the new molecule exits the cavity the vacumn fluctuations return and try to pressure the atoms back to normal orientation which loads the covalent bond up with energy like a rubber band resisting their efforts. byzipp.com/energy I think their pellets were nickel or platinum which would explain their results
here a ingegnerization of a cavitation device, using a 3 Hg of iron-clorine , make power as 10Kg of uranium...and ALL WHITOUT a relase of radiaction envolved....none;
and this is also a system to OFF a radiacrion of exaust fission combustible...
and sweet in end , this work also, in twin, whit a "swichable" fission of TORIO.....

Besides from the pistol crab there is also the mantis shrimp, wich punches also with hughe force, same reaction .
It starts at 2.11
At 3:11 you see light, steam and implosion effects generated by the shrimp!

oh carryman, did you have a idea how much shrimp you can cooke whit a energy became from a 300gr of iron colrine, or 1000gr of uranium ??
