Hi all,
Wouldn't it be nice to have some great desktop wallpaper to inspire your overunity endeavors?
Well... I've cooked up something to get the wallpaper party started.
I created this in CorelDraw. I'm not an accomplished artist or expert at CorelDraw, but I've had fun making a wallpaper design.
Here is a sample. The original is 1680x1050. If you'd like a copy of this wallpaper, drop me a note via bulletin board message.
Enjoy!
thanks, i have made this a wallpaper for my linux box for a while :)
Joy! I hadn't realized that I could upload a file. What I posted previously is just a thumbnail. Please obtain the higher quality version from the link below. Crop/resize/recolor as you wish!

Wallpaper, 1680x1050, depicting plasma, globules, and "OVERUNITY.COM."
Nice, have set as my wallpaper on my laptop! I will try and make one myself within a few days.
Great, Yucca! I'm looking forward to seeing your wallpaper creations!
I think making wallpaper is a great creative outlet for people, esp. when maybe an overunity device isn't producing overunity power and causing some frustration. :-D.
Let's see some other wallpapers, folks!
Wow, nice design.
I set it as my desktop now too. I already received a few compliments on it.
Thanks!!!
Glad you like it, RR!
On this design I focused on simple representations of "energy" and "unity." The UNITY globe at front center provides a strong visual for global unity, while the plasma and "energy balls" give the feeling of energy in the making. I challenged myself to avoid lightning bolts as I think that symbolism is overused.
Neon green is my favorite color as well. I know this doesn't fit into a lot of desktop color schemes (including mine!), but to me it sure screams "energy." Desktop schemes are another thing to do... hmmm...
I've got plenty of other wallpaper ideas in my brain... stay tuned and have fun everyone!
Hi Winner,
very nice !
Could you please also do the same with the text saying
OverUnity.de ?
Many thanks.
Regards, Stefan.

Stefan,
Sir, your wallpaper is being served...
Again, "UNITY" has been centered on the globe, so "OVERUNITY.DE" isn't exactly centered on the whole image. I can also center "OVERUNITY.DE" on the whole image if you prefer.

The wallpaper has now been intergrated into the new transparent background
theme I am already running at
www.overunity.de
I will soon have the same new forum software also over here.

Many thanks again to you.

Stefan,
Sehr gut! I'm glad you like the design and I think it looks great! It took many hours of work to create but it's what I'm able to contribute now to the overunity community. I have plans to join a local "maker" group and gain access to a shared workbench space and tools. Hopefully then I'll be able to do some real hardware experimenting. I'm especially interested in the the Joule Thief project which I think has real potential.
I'd be happy to work on other graphics for the overunity website(s) as well, let me know if you want anything!

Join us over in the Joule Thief topic. You don't have to wait to get workbench space and special tools to get started. You can build this basic circuit here: http://www.overunity.com/index.php?topic=6123.50
Using just a little 22 gauge stranded (insulated) wire, a 3904 transistor, a 1k resistor, a ferrite toroid and an led. This will light an led for a very, very long time off a "dead" AA battery. Less than $5.00 (US) in parts will get this one built easily. Feel free to pm me if you have any questions.
Thanks again for your wallpaper. I modified the colors just a little bit (shifted the green toward the blue) and it looks great when I turn my computer on. Great job.

Pirate (Bill),
Thanks for the kind words! I've been observing the Joule Thief topic for some time. I was extremely impressed with your video as well, where you lit Christmas lights with a used battery (I wonder how long the strings would stay lit?)!
I'm sure I will be getting involved. I'll discuss with my maker friends tomorrow as well!
