Below is a diagram of a rotter less generator I'm working on .
You put the reed switch by the iron core of your coil.
Then use a small magnet to get the reed switch going.
Put it on the other side of the reed switch to get it going.
Once its going the core will keep the reed switch going.
Move the magnet and reed switch to get the speed you want.
Have fun.
Caution very high spikes.
See the blocking osc by EMdevices. basically same thing. Like doing the sg
without the rotor.

Thanks I'll have to look into that.
I haven't seen anything like this so I thought I would post it.
Without the rotter to slow it down or waist power repealing the magnets it puts out a lot of power for what it takes in.
As soon as I turn it on it will put about 200v in a small 400v 220uf cap.
I'd like to thank Lidmotor for his great video of this replication.
You can see the video on youtub

Thanks Lidmotor.
Here is a second video made by lidmotor.

Thank you Lidmotor.
you have done a nice job....
great vid ...
i have done similar but i use a 9v and i put upto 150v in a big cap
also if i use a 12 vdc battery i can get 226 v in a cap
i have a way to make this better that is to join the 2 batteries - to + ;) and it works well... my unit consumes 100 ma 12vdc
and i have another improvement to this unit that is to use a reed capped ;) your draw will drop to mili amps ... like 10 or less....
do you know why?
if you notice a bright re flash inside your reed and your burning reeds than cap it and see the diff!!!!!
anyhow
great work..
ist :)

Ya know, if you go buy a Transformer, you can take 12 VDC and output over 12k VDC!!!!
Of course, it will be at less than 1/1000th the amperage and you'll lose watts in the process, but if the goal is just to convert 12V into the highest amount of V you can, transformers are the way to go.
