Title: Tesla's Tuned Magnetometers
Post by: Thaelin on October 28, 2008, 03:13:20 PM
I have been looking for the internal schematic for the type of magnetometer that
was used by Tesla. So far, all I can find is solid state types. I have suspecions that
his was only a coil of wire maybe a cap too. This would lend to the statement of it
being tuned to the storms that would come and go. I would like to see what a tuned
one would do as far as output.

   Any one have any ideas?

Hey Thaelin,

I think this discussion came up a long time ago on some of the TPU threads. If you search for "Flux gate Magnetometer" you may get some hits. That's the only one I remember reading about that wasn't solid-state. As a matter a fact, it actually employs the use of a toroidal coil if I remember correctly  :)

God Bless,
