Title: Pulsed electromagnet generator
Post by: Dave45 on November 02, 2008, 03:59:43 PM
This has been tried Im sure, but I was wondering if a generator produces electricity by spinning a magnet inside a coil why cant you pulse a electromagnet and get the same electricity, with no moving parts no external motor?

Hi Dave,

Probably a transformer would be better!

You would need a power supply to pulse the electromagnet to get power out so I am not sure of the purpose of your idea?

That is basically how a transformer works.
Try experimenting with the following electronic circuit applet.

Hi Dave
I think the MEG is such a device, or you can see the rotationless Generator , pulsed Generator
and what about the TPU?
