Title: Americans - Did you buy your right to bitch today?
Post by: exxcomm0n on November 04, 2008, 02:49:30 PM
Since there has been a goodly amount of political posts about "major" candidates and their agendas, I thought it would be interesting to find out how many actually did exercise the right to vote and back up their stance on this issue.

I did.

Got me a nifty little sticker for it too.

Even though my local polling place did use a computerized optical scanner for vote submission, I voted anyway as there is at least some sort of paper trail with it.

The Bob Barr of the libertarian party got my vote for the Presidency and Porky Pig got my vote for local congressman since it was an unopposed race and I could NOT see giving him a vote after his 2 time vote for the bailout.

You don't have to tell who you voted for (I did because......I can't see how it would hurt), just if you did or didn't.

If you didn't, could you give a reason why please?

Voted this morning for Bob Barr for President and a Republican staunch Constitutionalist who is running for my District's Federal Congression seat (Mike Leyva) against my super Liberal entrenched Democratic Congressman. No way either has a chance because my district of Northwest Indiana always (100% of the time) goes DEMONcrat. So I had the luxury of voting for who I really wanted and I can sleep at night knowing I did the right thing. Now I have complaining rights. WHOOO Hoooo!!!

@ Exxcomm0n and ResinRat2,  I too cast my vote fore Bob Barr and a variety of characters for congressional seats and other offices:  Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and some personal friends as write-in candidates.  My partner wondered aloud what took me so long to fill in the ballot, LOL!

A wasted vote?  It was either that or not vote at all, since I definetely do not approve of the others.  Now I have complaining rights and can bitch to my hearts content while I rub it in to everyone else whenever this dipshit and his entourage finish destroying what's left of this country.  Free energy rules!
