This is quite an interesting article I though was worth sharing. It makes you wonder where all those billions in research are going to. Let this also be a statement to close minded people that all is not what they say it is.

He is also using a peltier heat pump to cool his camera chip to reduce semiconductor junction noise.
Unfortunately the many billions of tax money spent on research nowadays are spent on defense (read as paranoid aggression). We mere peasents do not see all of the fruits of this research and we only get old technology in our consumer products. The Hubble images that are fed to the public are just pretty distractions, the powers that be have the tech to resolve continents, oceans and more on planets in other systems using phase locked orbital scopes in opposing earthbound orbits, the relative aperture of these scopes is hundreds of thousands of kilometres, they transmit data via wideband scalar (instantaneous transmission) to earthbound stations for integration.
