I am going to try and experiment with chemalloy, does anyone know anything about it???
the particular question i need an answer on is that 2 of the ingredients are measured "1.25 do" and "0.75 do"
does anyone know what "do" is what measure is it???
anyone ever had any experience with this metal????
G'day Hydro-Cell,
The do refers to ditto, which means the same as before, ie. pounds in this case.

hi cheers for that i was just about to post to let you know i had found that out,
cheers anyway, i plan to make some of this alloy if anyone is interested in buying any
As far as I know the alloy is available commercially. You need to hunt around a bit though.
Good luck.

hi
i know it is available but the available stuff doesnt contain lead, and you have to mix it with gallium, this was not the way it was intended to be made, i would like to try it to the letter and then modify the mixture and see the results
Hi there,
I have extensive experimented with this material and the commercial avalaible is this
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZAMAK
this has Pb in it.
I dont know where you take the gallium part from that this has to be in.
greetings
walt
