The next step of course, is the industrial espionage step.  Where they hack your computer without a warrant or without there ever having been evidence of that hack ..and simply steal your ideas and work right out from under your nose.

They then proceed to retire.

You should look up honeypots.  And apply this idea to information stored on a drive; simply store your worst ideas or ideas you want stolen.  Encrypting anything is frivolous if you can be thrown in jail for not decrypting it on demand. ...they'd probably already have your key anyway.

The worst case scenario is if you have information that's encrypted, loose the keys or forget your password - then it's indefinite detention - life sentences, contempt of court, or any number of a myriad of other indefensible arrangements of your prosecution that they have to choose from.   All someone has to do is use a broken random number generator to create a large encrypted-looking file and some encryption software and you're completely screwed.

Then you proceed to jail and look guilty of whatever it is they've accused you of regardless of truth.

Forget fighting it all by converting to islam, by the way, corruption is corruption - go the Mennonite or Amish routes ( blasphemy in a forum like this for sure ).
