is there just a thing as a small sized,
low power consumption,
ionic water pump?
i need a way to turn a low amount of amperage,
into a moving stream of water.
interesitng :0 i also sit to think about this subjects these days :) ok i dont need to move water but u can take some inspiration from magnetohydrodynamic drive.
In a nutshell u use ions and magnet to move the water.Take a look at :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnetohydrodynamic_drive
in mine design i try to concive a system like this but without the electrodes in the water.Electrodes should be insulated and supplied with high voltage, creating a nontransient electric field across the water chanel.Via electrostatic induction ions should form and move in the channel but will never reach the electrodes so no extarnal electricity would have to be supplied to susteain operation. It comes along the lines i make expliciet in the halfbaked section some time ago.
Ok i have a plan B in case this one won't work.I will put a sharp moveable electrode in the channel, inside of it the electrons will flow(from one side to another),it will happen in the magnetic field so the whole electrode will move.It may be made a circulair movement also easilly.
