The reason for the sudden interest in electric cars is because a gasoline powered car can be retrofitted to hydrogen power with almost no modification.

Electric cars can also be recharged with renewable energy, so the powers that be, will always fall over, tits-up  ;D

The oil companies are pushing hydrogen because they can crack it off their black shit.

What, you mean they can extract hydrogen from oil ?. I never knew they could do it like that, I always though they got it from water  :-\

I have seen advantages in the electric design as well. O_o Bulbz  ;)

Maybe the oil guys will be more cooperative this time if they use CARBON lithium batteries.  Don't expect they will help out with the supercapacitor technology that is going way past the cl batteries.  Maybe a comprimise.  CL batteries as the input voltage scource to a rlc network employing the motor as the inductance and the supercapacitors as the capacitance.  If the American car mfgs. don't I'm sure the Japaneese will.  They only need the oil to make the plastic in the cars not to burn it in the smog machines the handout USA mfgs make.   No demand my ass. I'd trade this smog machine of mine or have it converted to electric in a heartbeat if it was priced right.

The electric motors are pricey like the "trans warp 11" but it is quite the little beefy booger. All one needs to do is to figure out the Coler device stack them up and go smoke a set 15 inch Dunlaps. That and live in a place where you are allowed to mod a car to electric. Some USA states prohibit modified vehicles if the mod is the petrol engine to electric conversion. Not sure about what the other countries have for policy on auto modifications.
Don't worry if you figure it out they'll just outlaw it. Freedom is an illusion like abstract art is art.

because of the triangular nature of the market...the top of which is the demand for oil,the sides of which are the oil producers and auto makers...if the governments impose strict emissions laws and mpg perimeters on the auto makers then they are in violation of the original contract.the oil is already paid for I'm afraid...so in the end it is the consumer that will suffer...the neglected sheep who will fight and overcome all obstacles to merely survive, the persevering part of the equation.thinking that we the people can have an affect on such a market is naive to put it bluntly.that is like trying to negotiate your own price for your dinner.
