Hi every one ;D
There are so many fish here in my vicinity and i want to catch them using batery. :o >:(
could anyone give me an schematic? please?
relay version, transistor version anything as long as it can electrocute the fish ;D
Thank you ;)
otits
Iknow the system ,
i done this (for testing) 50 years ago.
BUT:
you will overfishing
and - tat is the problem - te small (youm) fish will die at first
an in sort time .. no more any elso to fish.
dont do this !!
GP
Try hitting them on the head with the battery.
Seriously, mankind has done a good job of destructive fishing so please take Pese's advice.

Alternative you can build yourselve a tool
like it is used by the Pistol Shrimp .
Very effective
I would suggest that you read this.
http://www.silsoeresearch.org.uk/animal-welfare/jeff/conductivity.pdf
And think again about your intended method
to all
Actually there are already many here in my vicinity using that kind of fishing i thought its just okay to do that and they do not want to teach me how,
thats why i open up this thread because i am curious with that. and they are catching so many fish using that thing.
I thought also that pese do not want to teach me because pese sounds like fish ;D. ooooops joke only sir your my idol here.
Anyway thank for all of you sir.
because you said that i won't do it anymore.
God bless

Fish stunners are occasionally used by American aquatic biologists to study individual specimens in a stream or pond.
They use a continuous discharge system that works well(fish are knocked unconscious at once for collection and then released to recover.)
Devil's advocate?
If you want a unit to pattern after, think of a police Tazer. Charge a HV capacitor and discharge it with a push button.
HOWEVER!
On the other hand, unless your friends are starving, they hadn't ought to persecute these harmless animals like that. Only if they have nothing else to eat.

Hi sir
good idea thank you but i was told it isn't good by sir pese
and i won't doit anymore, maybe i will, just for experimental use only ;D
however if you have a good circuit scheme, well not bad i think we can study that thing here ;D

Hi Tito,
I agree with pese. Only if you have nothing else---you're starving---,
only then do it.

Sure, good idea about that. Let's see what we can find out.

Try these:

Also, U.S. Patent 6362984 on http://www.google/advanced_patent_search
There are a whole lot of commercial applications to be seen on the 'Web.

High explosives are effective for fishing. This is the basis for the traditional American redneck fishing method. Just light the fuse on the special Du Pont bait, throw it in the water, wait for the deep boom, then the dead fish float right to the surface!
This fishing method is illegal almost everywhere, and tends to attract game wardens and other law enforcement persons. Du Pont may have discontinued these special baits.
Safety note: dropping the lit bait too close by could turn you into fish food!
Hi Tito.
what kind of fish are you trying to catch? it does make a difference you know.
Jerry ;)

Thank you very much sir i will try them ;D
Hi Tito.
all fish have one thing in common, they have a defensive strategy for avoiding being eaten by larger fish, they do this by jumping out of the water for safety.
the trick to triggering their safety response is to tune a high powered strobe light in the water and tune its pulse rate until the fish become alarmed by its flashing bright light, the way it works is that when the fish see the bright shine of the light instantly they think it is another fish attacking them and triggers the response to jump out of the water.
in some countries that do this they don't even need nets because the fish will jump right into their boats sometimes to the point of sinking the boat being so laiden with fish, some people get hurt when they get hit by the fish looking for the safety of the air!
remember that the strobe light has to be tuned to the right pulse to drive the fish nuts.
you can try it, there are some you tube videos of some guys using strobe lights and it works rather well.
these guys here are just using a regular spot lights and strobing it into the water and get the same results but nowhere near what a bright strobe generates.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBmlZNcFiHI
also, just for the fun of it I like teasing fish with LASER dots in the water, they seem to see the 640nm beam quite well and they will try to eat it.
Good luck.
Jerry ;)
