Title: If eat food, you should read this
Post by: AhuraMazda on March 08, 2009, 11:12:33 PM

Earlier this afternoon I saw a video about what the food corporations are doing to our food. If you live out side US and think this does not concern you, think again.

Then I saw this that bans organic farming:

This bill is huge....

'Manufacture'...in the definition of "process"

...under section 202 of this bill, you will have to apply for a permit to grow your own food!?

Good movie indeed. I wasn't so well informed about GM food so that helped a bit. It also shows how sick people can be when driven by greed and money. People would revolt for much less. It's truly a glad blessing that the economy is crashing. There's no success in corruption, lies, theft...it will accumulate and bite you right back. I hope our future will be much brighter. Simple free energy for everyone, growing your own independent food, community spirit, research to truly help mankind, cures for everything....one can only dream.

Greed is the root of all evil.

I haven't watched the vids yet but will check them out in a bit

I really enjoy growing my own food in the garden... I started quite a few years ago now because I found how easy you can harvest seeds from something like a tomato and get a nice healthy plant producing some really tasty food.. most of the time tastes better than the supermarket veg that seem to be grown too quick

most people I know do grow some of their own food in the garden and have done for years, most of the small gardeners love what they do grow for fun not profit but for the supermarkets that grow these gm crops worry me, when the gm crops get crossed into the main crops and spread through natural means it could lead to some unforeseen situation like famine or disease... just to get a better looking tomato or something that makes them more money... however small the risk, is it really worth it ?

in my opinion in this day and age food on this planet should be plentiful and free to all people & animals without modifying it in any way... it would mean more people growing home grown crops and donating more of it to charity but quite a few people prefer going to the supermarket buying the goods and then letting it rot before thowing it away at the end of the week :(
