Post by: PaulLowrance on March 28, 2009, 12:46:14 AM
Please help! You only need to turn off the lights for one hour on this Saturday March 28th at 8.30PM -->

If you missed it, then it's never too late to make up for it!  ;D

Thanks!

If I was an ignorant brainwashed fool (sheep) I would.

But I'm not so I ain't.

Global Warming <---- Yet another bullshit scam.

And the only way to solve this problem is more taxes.

Can't fucking wait.  ::)

I agree bhaas,

This whole Earth hour bullshit is only there to make the extra taxation levied more palatable. As you said  a scam!

What is really causing global warming is the methane gas generated by the enormous amount of shit the politicians talk the world over.  >:(

I will try my best to turn on more lights and electrical appliances than normal. I am afraid if everyone cuts back on electical use at the same time then the utility company will lose lots of revenue. Then they will have to layoff workers which will cause more unemployment. Also, after intensive study, I am more concerned that we will be going in to another ice age like the one that ended 10,000 years ago.  So, let's everyone work together and try to find a way to increase carbon outputs. I do not want to freeze to death.

Not only that Fred,

they will put up prices to compensate for lost business. They did the same here in Sydney. They put in water restrictions because we were running low at one stage. Up went the prices. Now we have plenty of water, we still have water restrictions and still high prices.

Go figure

Yep it's total BULL SHIT considering all the energy resources we have...like solar, wind, geothermal, ocean wave, and many more. There is more than enough energy to be harnessed in this planet!
I never bought this idea it just didn't make sense.
You're better off trying to save the whales than this crap.

have a nice day :-)

Saving Wales? Whatever for? Let the Queen of England worry about this.

We would be better off to save some beer for a monstrous globe ringing party. Anyone with me on this?

To legit people, not paid posters,  :)  if you forgot to turn off the lights, then it's never too late.  :)

p.s., run the other way when someone gives you anti-green advice (e.g., turn on all of the lights), and when such people continually support fake videos that cost legitimate researchers a lot of time and money, who tell you to not allow academic scientists to analyze your machine, but only allow their own kind to analyze it. Be smart, see what's happening here!
