ok im going straight to the point here. i iwll try to explain as best as i can.
the SMOT ONLY has enough strength to pick up the weight of arm A - this is important.
while the SMOT picks up arm A it slides arm A back inside the wheel.
while arm A is fully back inside the wheel, arm C slides causing leverage and arm D is also already there helping arm A overcome the sticky spot of the SMOT.
so to overcome the sticky spot of the SMOT you would need the strength/weight of more than the weight of an arm that the SMOT lifts. and this wheel shows that.
arm C and D vs arm A overcomes the sticky spot of a the SMOT. so this way the rotation continues.
if anyone understands this rephrase it here so that others can understand. some mighty not get what i am saying because of the way i explain but might understand your way of explanation.

Look here, we are working on the same principle.:

hmm you know what? the old fashioned SMOT will not work i guess as clanzer tested it out.
BUT now that i think about it the TRI GATE (http://www.overunity.org.uk/cmps_index.php?s=7a0a2870fb023cbb500560013a20aa7d&pageid=tr1) would probably be best for this wheel to keep rotating. just replace the SMOT with a TRI GATE arrangement. the iron/steel/metal part of the arms of this wheel would be magnets so it will work with a TRI GATE arrangement.
i dont have the time or money or tools to build this. i know clanzer has built this wheel (http://www.overunity.org.uk/cmps_index.php?pageid=mgwheel) but he did not try the TRI GATE way to lift one of the arms up or did he?
bah! i just don't know any more about this wheel! :-\ i give up. it's 3:57AM and I'm tired. going to sleep now. good night.
