" Essentially, the Act would federalize critical infrastructure security. Since many of our critical infrastructure systems (banks, telecommunications, energy) are in the hands of the private sector, the bill would create a major shift of power away from users and companies to the federal government. This is a potentially dangerous approach that favors the dramatic over the sober response. "

If inbred NWO predator Jay Rockerfeller succeeds with this Bill we won't need to worry about removing this section of out forum...the whole board will be gone.

The banksters are coming for us.
Once they destroy our connection we are likely done for.

Cap-Z-ro plz kill yourself and send me all your $ to me . As a non-useless person I need this $ .
It is evident that the powers that be cannot permit the internet to function in the way it does now and still hope to remain in power.
Since they will try to hang onto power at all cost it therefore is reasonable to assume they will try every trick in the book either to destroy it or bring it under control. They got caught asleep at the wheel or it would have never grown the way it did without controls. That is now being rectified.
In the old days the power brokers were a lot more vigilant. When they realised that any Ham radio operator could essentially say what he wanted to a large number of people, they immediately made the whole thing subject to stringent regulation and licenses and had mobile detection units all over the place to stop rogue operators. Incidentally, these restrictions are still in place and are being enforced.
They will try to do exactly the same with the internet. The days of anonymous posting are numbered and sadly so are the days of free speech.

where there is a will there is a way. Hans mentions radio hams above. I remember a cool tech that hams developed, called packet radio. You could send a packet to anyone in the world who used the same system. The data packet could sometimes take days to arrive at the destination if some critical inbetween relaying operator failed to be powered on. But it would get there in the end, hopping over different frequencies automatically routed by the clever system.

Perhaps a similar tech could be developed using adhoc networks comprised of personal wifi cards with good antennas. Of course it wouldn´t be as good and fast as the internet today but some primitive text only BBS could possibly be ran on it. Of course TPTB would soon make WIFI cards require licences etc. Damn them to hell!
I know we will come up with ways like this Yukka and I don't think they care a lot, though they still will hunt us like animals.
That isn't the point though. We still will be able to communicate to people in the know but the larger audience will be out of reach. That is what they are after, and that will be a tough one to get around.

Ha, A few simple words...
, XXX, eBay, Taxes On line, Dealerships,, "Can Not Operate without a live connections as of 2009." Most businesses are required and internet connection to keep their license.
There is simply to much money to be made on the internet, I cant see it going anywhere. Perhaps it will be "controlled" but not shut down.

We may end up being forced into having to hunt them like animals!!! Praise the Lord and pass the ammo!!!
Hi all,
I've been waiting for them to start implementation of that as soon as I heard of the Web 2 scheme. The Pentagon has been pushing for just that for the last 5 years. To get access you need to be in a certain class (scientists, government, police and armed forces) and everyone is approved only after the FBI says it is ok. You get an access card and code and everything you do online is monitored live by what has been known as the Echelon computer center. No more anonymity in number.
It will be an inconvenience but I am ready for this eventuality. Car dealers won't get access, very few will be able to afford a car or gas and even fewer will have the luxury of a job. Just the armed forces will hire.
Welcome to 1984, I just hope December 21st 2012 bites them in the ass first.
Michel
Correct Brian,
The thread of closure opens up negotiations where there should not be any. Business will agree and sell to the public all kinds of restrictions to stay in business at no cost to TPTB. They are going to blame pedophiles, terrorists, Nazis and all sorts of people and groups for these measures.
It is called burning down the fucking Reichstag (or maybe bringing down TWTC).
The internet is far too valuable to shut down. Now it must be monopolised.
Hans von Lieven
@ Hans:
I am afraid you are not incorrect.
Bill
I am sorry Bill, I wish I could see something different. >:(

Hear slimeball Rockerfeller etal laying the groundwork.
The NWO creeps had an all day meeting in "an undisclosed location in Virginia" to plan this latest act of suppression.
Its obvious from the absence of their usual shit eating smirk that they are fearful of the gallows treatment they gave to their former employee Sadam.
It will be a great year of public hangings when they are finally brought to justice...I have it saved it on a DVD for weekend entertainment.

Hacking into media broadcasts with public alerts initially would be the way to go.
Kind of like when they used to drop propaganda flyers over cities before an occupation in order to gain public support.
Regards...
Hacking into media, organised revolt, passive resistance and so forth are all things of the past that do not work anymore.
TPTB have technology at their fingertips to neutralise any such attempt. The French revolution would not have happened if Louis XVI would have had at his disposal half a dozen machine guns and a few grenades to stop the storming of the Bastille.
It pains me to say it, but the only way to mount a power big enough to stop TPTB is a new, immensely popular, religion that is opposed to their aims.
That is why the Chinese Government is so mortally afraid of the Falun Gong movement, even though they are pacifist in their outlook and do not preach revolution by force. In a little more than a decade they had the ruling elite in China shitting themselves and they have been shitting themselves ever since. Falun Gong of course is being ruthlessly suppressed. In the end, they will probably win. There will be a lot of dead bodies on the floor though before that happens.
There is no sign in Western society of something like this happening unless you count the unopposed spread of Islam.
I cannot see that religion gaining overwhelming support in Western nations in the short term, but in the absence of any real opposition that just might happen in the long run.
Hans von Lieven
China has a broadband system that is hard to close down or hack because of udder confusion should we copy them .....
We may already have that confusion...in the brains of the ruling sociopaths.
I can't see them shutting down the entire net...maybe they will just shut down places like this that threaten their grip on the minds of the masses...they may try to confine net use to commerce and government data distribution.
A truth virus targeting digital TV signals, and popping up all over the place from numerous sources would do the job...if that can be done that is.
Regards...
A signal jammer works so a signal rerouter is probably something possible in the near future. I can clearly see some company making a buck a bucket with such a system on prime time jamming everyone's cell phone and broadcasting rogue marketing scheme ... Alternatively the act is something that would protect us from that ... Or harm us who knows.
This is kinda reminding me of a passage in The fall of hyperion by dan simmons , after the hegemony felt :
QuoteSuddenly the ship said, "Fatline message coming in--transmission
source, everywhere; encryption base, infinite; squirt rate, realtime."
The Consul opened his mouth to tell the ship to quit spouting nonsense
when the air above the holopit misted in something neither image
nor data column, and a voice spoke:
"THERE WILL BE NO FURTHER MISUSE OF THIS CHANNEL. YOU ARE
DISTURBING OTHERS WHO ARE USING IT TO SERIOUS PURPOSE. ACCESS
WILL BE RESTORED WHEN YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT IT IS FOR. GOODBYE."
