Title: AUTO WIRE COLOR CODING
Post by: Tito L. Oracion on April 22, 2009, 11:24:43 PM
Hi everyone good day

i'm new to wire color coding, is there anybody here has a manual about this, cause i want to doit myself repair my car.  ;D

cause it is realy waste of time finding the problem if you don't know the assigned color for that wire.  :-\

Thank you in advance.

God bless all of you

While DC color coatings are suggested they are not a requirement...

AC however is required to be color coated and follows stricter requirements.

To tell the truth Not all GM harnesses follow the same color codes between years of models let alone models themselves...

The best thing one can do is get a wiring schematic via a Haynes complete manual about 20.00US in order to know for your year of auto on what runs where and how it runs.

Next if your car is used there maybe things that were bypassed or not installed like relays and such it can be an exhausting process to figure out what is wrong with electrical but also very expensive to have worked on you get more gratification with a multimeter and your own sweat then you do taking it in and your bill fold will still be just as hard to close.

Depending on what you are trying to figure I may be of help but don't hold me to it!
