Don't know if this is just a coincidence...or if its just sick (gratuitous pun included) but...
2007 - Chinese year of the 'chicken'...bird flu pandemic devastates parts of Asia.
2008 - Chinese year of the 'horse'...equine influenza decimates Australian racing industry.
2009 - Chinese year of the 'pig'...swine flu pandemic kills hundreds of pigs around the globe.
Has anyone else noticed this ?
Just when you think it couldn't get worse...
Next year:
2010 - Chinese year of the 'C0CK'...what could possibly go wrong ?
Regards...

Thought your joke was hilarious Cappy Z.....
Keep'em coming.
:D
Yeah right. A joke, was it?
Hans von Lieven
Cappy, your joke was actually funny with just the empty air quotes....but now that we see what you actually meant to say as you've gotten it past the censor by editing in a "0" instead of an "o".....that is a bit crude.
The Year of the tiger, as the Chinese call it, is less "trashy" and probably more accurate. The other you candidly describe has been done to death for years ongoing....and for far too long.

Funny how people edit their posts when they are found out.

That joke post was an unsourced item taken from another forum...since it was just for the sake of humor I didn't bother to check it for accuracy.
