This looks like a very interesting and cheap way to release Hydrogen from water...

Has this ever been built? Patent is from 1939.

Thanks for the post,it doe's look interesting,I suppose,as with all splitting methods,it comes down to the cost in energy to produce it,be nice to know if it has been tried.
