Title: GRAVITY AND PERMANENT MAGNETS
Post by: magnetman12003 on July 11, 2009, 11:28:09 PM
Hi All,

I am open for a "shoot the idea down" on this one.  I  posted it for evaluation thinking anyhow.

What you see is a huge powerful magnet track under a revolving plastic cylinder that is FIXED in a center position and can not move either way. It can be easily turned as the axis has bearings. The cylinder does not touch or roll on top of the stator magnet.

Now looking at this you can pick your own color code for any polarity you wish.

Inside the plastic cylinder are four very powerful long round rod magnets that are free to turn on the inside walls of the cylinder.  No bearings are needed or used on the rod magnets

All four rod magnets repel each other and will space themselves apart automatically. Also when they are in the position of the number 3 or 4 magnet they will not fall downwards. The repelling forces will hold them to the inside cyliner walls where they are free to roll.

Now looking at the lower number one magnet.  You can see it is strongly attracted to the oposite stator pole.  ---------It will always be in the position shown because of that strong pull by the stator magnet.-------UNLESS--

As you head upwards away from the stator magnet the magnetic pull gets weaker and weaker.

I show the position as a yellow circle.where a single rod magnet would normally gravity lay if the stator magnet was not present.

Having said all the above now lets concentrate on gravity alone:
Now the number 2 and number 3 magnets weight is bearing downwards on the number 1 magnet.  Forcing it upwards. Number one is only pushing the number 4 magnet up.  An off balance cylinder drum weight condition will always exist.   Obseve the axis centerlines.

Comments please.

Hi All,

I am now trying to stuff the  four 4.5 inch long neo rod magnets inside the red drum and am having a rough time. Those magnets repel each other hard in a crazy fashion. It looks klike I will have to make a smaller cylinder within the red cylinder to position them correctly.  Not as easy as it looks. Will let everyone know if this works at all.

The sticky spots on the stator magnet block are marked with yellow dots near the ends..  Depends on which way the rod magnet polaritys are faced when they are placed on the block.Thats the way they will roll.
If I put 5 rod magnets on this block I can push through the sticky spot and the end rod magnet will roll off.  Something else to think about in the future  Notice how the rods automatically space themselves out on the stator.
