So I've been away for a while, but I'm back working on the cell and I have a lot of equipment at my disposal now. I have a plate cell design, with 2 rods (or bolts) going through the center of the plates, with every other hole being just larger than the ones on either side of it so that no contact is made. The rods are going to be supplying the power. My plates are 304 grade stainlees steel the question is what can I use as rods? I think 1/4" diameter would be large enough, would stainless steel bolts work? They are very magnetic unfortunately and I suppose they would rust. The rods should be able to carry 40 amps underwater and not oxidize too much, I heard gold platinum and titanium were good but don't know where to find them cheaply. 1/4" by about 4" long x2 pieces should suffice. No way , bad idea .
Invest in a hydrophone , for about 60 to 200$ , it picks up vibrations in water and will show you a maximum oscillating frequency of your tubes . They use this for oceanography and listening to fish and dolphins etc ...
Then use this and match the impedance of your circuit using algebra and kirchoff sio that everything is matched .
