Looks like The Clangers have been pissing a lot then  :P.

On the latest Sky At Night episode, Sir Patrick More stated if there's water on the moon, he will eat his hat.

Well Sir Pat... Start chewing !

' "Rather than a dead and unchanging world, it could in fact be a very dynamic and interesting one," said Greg Delory of the University of California, Berkeley, who was not involved in the mission, led by NASA's Ames Research Center in Mountain View, Calif. '

This was the quote that got me. Oh, Oh! The moon can now be declared a National (or World) Park. Environmentally off limits!!!  LOL!! ...  :D :D

Better start filling out the forms for the Environmental Impact Statement dealing with the original moon landing site. The United States left plenty of junk behind. Tsk, Tsk! Very bad indeed. LOL!!!

Now that it seems possible to make an outpost and possibly a space hotel, we may now start to see suppressed flying saucer technology suddenly worm its way out of the woodwork. Or maybe the world leaders will use the moon as a safe haven if everything on Earth suddenly goes tits-up !

This is getting stupid. I'm not really concerned with whether the moon has water or not, i'm just concerned with how scientists are reacting. Its becoming increasingly apparent to me that science is dying. No longer are the scientists that actually experimented, challenged popular opinion, and invented. Instead, we have "scientists" that follow eachother, assume things, and believe that math (a tool used to interpret, communicate, and manipulate data) can solve everything. Scientists are forgetting that math is a tool, not a creation. You can use tools to create things, but you must have some sort recorded data to input into the math to create an output. I'm afraid we are doing the same thing in astrophysics. We should have figured out the moons water content a LONG time ago. Instead, we were busy making mathematical theories of things in our universe that we actually have not experimented on or recorded. This is why scientists are so surprised, and its 2009 already!!!

Indeed well spoken HopeForHumanity,

It is getting more and more obvious that science is ruined by money and politics.

Or schould i say life......
