Has anybody used one of these Tesla flat coils in their devices for extracting power from the air?
1. Is the coil better for an antenna?
2. Is the coil better for the tank circuit or storage attached to the tank circuit?
3 What is better 2' dia,3'dia, or 4' dia?

I favor the spiral shape of the tesla coil over a standard solenoid coil for use in a generator. The coil woulld be best with an opening in the center, but it should present less of a load to the magnet as it passes by...(I think...) At least just thinking about it, I think that the opposing force would not be focused towards the passing magnet, but rather at a 90 degree angle away from the magnet. Any thoughts? . . . .

I think it would make for an interesting experiment. Since you thought it up, you're the best person to perform it. Let us know what the results are. :)
I will probably try it on the magnet motor that I made for the power generation portion of the motor/alternator. My first priority is to improve the strength of operation of the motor portion before I try the generator portion. ::)

Since this coil can store power over a standard coil(low inductanc), I thought someone has tried this in their experimental Tesla radiant energy converter.
