I once saw a program that "simulated" physical objects and their relationship/reactions to one another. You could make an inclined plane, a car, and a chain bridge, and then activate it to watch the effects. I was wondering if there was a similar program for magnets? Some way to design rotors, stators, etc.... but would be able to simulate the real actions of magnets in the array.
'Cause its gonna get expensive trying to build all the things I want to experiment with. I don't see how ClanZeR does it, lol.
So, what are the names of some of these programs (Linux compatible, preferably)?

The best I know of is Maxwell 3D. Cant's substitute for a real modeling, though.
