Title: The Johnny Cool Pants Show
Post by: SkyWatcher123 on May 11, 2010, 03:35:43 AM
Hi folks, i was really impressed by some of the ideas this man called Johnny Cool Pants thought of, so i am posting a gallery of some of the ideas he had on a site he posted to in the past, though now cant find his website anywhere and no sign of him. If your out there in web land Johnny, come in and say hello. If i can dig up anymore things i saved from him i will.

LOL, LOL Thanks for posting. They go in the same line as my school playground generators. The swings, seesaws and all. Just hook all these parts to generators and the kids make the schools electric.  ;D

Hi Ab hammer, your welcome. My favorite is the gravity powered billow setup, seems practical to me. Here is more based on sterling engines and flash steam.

These next few were not from the Johnny Cool Pants Show but i found it interesting, it has propellers at ends of rotating rotor with generators attached and the whole thing is turned by a motor, possibly avoiding a reflection back to prime mover when loaded, meaning it should not slow down much at all when peripheral generators are loaded through commutator. And let me know what you folks think of all these ideas.

Hi DeepCut, thanks. I checked through that whole thread you posted but did not see anyone named jcp, is he going by another name there, because the only one that talks like him might be foggynotion, thanks. What do you think of the things i posted, any of them seem like workable things to you and anyone else lets hear your thoughts if you wish to share them.

Tyson,

that was my whole point, if you read it, the guy says he was JCP and his site got taken down ...

Hi deepcut, ok thanks, ya i was reading that thread previously then stopped and then only skimmed it, i will read through it again, thanks. Hilarious how these control freaks actually think they can stop a message or idea, well ice skating uphill as they say, they'll learn someday soon. thanks again.

Some ideas are pretty nice!

The idea to steal energy from passing cars is actually getting big time subsedies. People don't realize that the cars are paying for energy extracted, by tanking for gas.
Same as the rised parking spot. Energy stolen that the vehicle didn't need to expend to be gin with.
The over, heat that could have been insulated with a better built oven, etc :-)

I like the varying level of graphical effort put into presentations :-)

I like the sterling motor effects, passing car design and because I am a Blacksmith I have to favor the Bellows.

ive thought of those car ideas before, bellows and all

the highway car generator has been done, its like a speedbump that oscillates, and even motorcycles can apparently drive over without difficulty

i think we should just start putting magnets on the bottom of our cars and then bury a shit load of coils of wire in the road

practically speaking, however, i combined the bellow idea with the highway one, and came up with the idea to have "tube" shaped bellows half buried in the ground, at stoplights, or anywhere on the road, then exploit the pressure differences

just another one of many random ideas how to generate electricity from cars
