Thanks for posting this. Maybe somebody will actually watch it.
Attention spans are pretty short nowadays.
The police state is symptom of a failing government.
American politics is probably the most corruptible in the world. You can donate a $million to politician in America if you want to. Its legal bribery and there are more ways then that to pay, shares, interests, bonds, stock trades, property. None of this is scrutinized or monitored. IN any other country its simply not legal and runs against the spirit of government and democracy, you would be put in jail for even trying.
America has subsidies running rampant because of the above to corporations interests, corn, medical, health care, police, the military machine, prisons and social services that don't work and so on. None of the trillions in taxes or very little of it actually goes to the people. An even smaller amount goes to providing services like basic health care, roads and transport, public spaces and infrastructure.
You are paying for this mentality in the shops when you buy food and when you pay for energy.
Your electricity is 22 cents kwh but in real terms its 38 cents. Your food is cheap at McDonalds but its overpriced at the fresh greens stand, why? Do you know why?
Because Corn, Soy and other "grains" are subsidized to the hilt. You are paying farmers a million per year each to cover their overproduction of one crop in fertilizers and herbicides. The effect of this is far reaching as corporations in food, Monsanto and IBP get market share and dominate the food chain. When you pay taxes you pay for cheap shit food of poor quality manufactured by a handful of people in a giant factory chain. When you stop the subsidy you lower the cost of fresh foods and create jobs.
The fertilizers are killing your rivers and contaminating water supplies, the factory production of meats and corn products waste is soiling your water so badly its toxic in many parts of the country (Iowa). The meats themselves are a niological time bomb and mad cow is just a taste of what can come from it. Conala and Corn GM are the most dangerous things on this planet and all of it is being paid for by low paid workers.
Canola GM is just one gene for all plants, what happens to your food supply when that particular strain becomes infected with a disease? You won't have Canola that year and perhaps many more. No oils, no food products, no cheap meats, mo cheap chickens no cheap packet foods like Ramon noodles. All out the door!
This over production of corn etc is also killing your food chain, reducing fish numbers and sending more people out of work. One subsidy in just one industry is having a far reaching impact on everything and no one in the government has the balls to stop it. The Food chain is an ecosystem in both human and natural terms. It has inputs and outcomes. You mess with that and things go pear shaped like it has. NO one has job anymore. The towns are dead and farmers are millionaires. Great!
America is doomed if this continues. You will all end up sick, fat, full of toxins, homeless, jobless and dealing with a police state designed to protect the corporation because the corporation is the only one getting representation in your government. This flows down the human food chain too, legal social and so on. The poor guy has no chance and the American Dream is really a total F'ing nightmare.
All those Mexicans crossing the border are doing so because corn is so subsidized. The Mexican farm economy has been ruined by America. Sugar tariffs are not helping and this from a country that bellows and howls about "free trade".
Europe is doing no better. They too subsidize foods but the result is the same. North Africa cannot compete so Europe is slowly accumulating those workers.
Grow a pair America and get your country back from those pigs in the ivory tower with the million dollar daily pay checks.
