Title: Coil Wrapping, Timing Concerns

Shortly I'd like to begin construction on my own Newman Motor,
and have come up with a question that I can't seem to find the
answer to...

On a double-coil motor, I know that both coils are used to have
the effect of a N-S pole electromagnet. What I'm not understanding
is how this would occur, unless the direction of the wire wrap
is changed from clockwise on the lower one to counterclockwise
on the upper, or vise-versa.

The only other possible way I can imagine to get this to occur
would be with utilizing the timing commutator in a way to get
opposite flows of electrons in each coil, as has been illustrated
by JL Naudin & M.David in their Bipolar Commutator diagram v1.0,
although they show the use of only a single coil.

Ok, after a bit of a search I seem to have found the
answer to my own question...  the lower pole of the
upper coil is opposite to the upper pole of the lower
coil, so when the magnets are positioned correctly
between them it doubles the force of their spin.

I suppose torque would also depend on what position
the magnets are in when the circuit is closed... ?

Closer to 90deg = more force?
