This is where everyone gets confused, or mislead. The invention of an over unity device would not mean we are creating energy, in fact the laws of physics would dictate that instead of creating energy we are drawing upon another form of energy, yet unknown to, or not well defined by physics. For example quantum physics, in the newer theories has posited, that there is a zero-point energy, someone WILL be the first to tap into that energy, and use it to do work. The casimir effect shows that it is possible to use it to do work on very small scales. Then there is atmospheric energy, if we could somehow utilize the charge in the atmosphere, or what is generated by the rotation of the earth and it's core, we would NOT be creating energy. It would just mean we are very efficient at harnessing magnetic force to create electricity.
