There is considerable scientific evidence that molecular hydrogen has many health benefits. Check out this interview with Tyler LeBaron (Founder of the Molecular Hydrogen Foundation):

Someday, you will be able to walk into any store that sells kitchen appliances and buy a molecular hydrogen infuser for your drinking water. Until that day comes, we will just have to build them ourselves.

(1) Should I start off by buying this $64 (including shipping) HHO generater advertised on Ebay and then modify it?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/121339025058?euid=6f8eb142a13949b6983941ae1315b201&bu=43209336203&cp=1&sojTags=bu=bu
It includes some parts needed for car applications, so can I get a similar device cheaper without the car specific parts, or is this still the best way to start the project? I'm thinking that if I buy all the parts separately starting from scratch, by the time I buy all the tools needed it will cost more than $64.

(2) How much KOH should I put into this unit? Does the water used for producing HHO need to be distilled water?

(3) One of the comments in this Ebay seller's feedback mentioned that the unit uses vacuum from the car. Would I have to somehow hookup a vacuum to this unit for kitchen use?

(4) I assume this unit draws electricity from the car battery. For kitchen use, what type of transformer from 110 volt ac to dc should I use?

(5) Now, for cleaning the HHO gas that is produced. Do I need to use an activated charcoal/ cotton filter of some type, or can I output directly to a bubbler (that is used for cleaning purposes only) the output of which will be bubbled in my glass of drinking water?

My impression is that if my only use is for bubbling a glass of drinking water, it need not be a complicated or expensive device. I just need to be sure that:

(1) enough HHO is produced to adequately infuse this small amount of drinking water with molecular hydrogen, and

(2) the output is food grade.

Feel free to post links on good deals for these parts. For example, it was recommended that I get an airstone when I bubble the HHO into my drinking water, since this provides numerous very tiny bubbles for faster infusion. This is normally an accessory for fish tanks, so where can I find one that is food grade, as well as locate food grade tubing?

Received an email from the manufacturer of a $19,000 commercial 50 lpm HHO Water bubbling system for drinking shown on YouTube. It doesn't bode well for my wanting to build an HHO infusion drinking water machine.

"We are no longer building small personal use HHO generators. The cost was excessive to keep medical quality and still get an affordable device. However, for industrial use it is affordable, since production is quite good for a water modifier."

I'm going to start with a simpler method than using HHO; probably using magnesium, and will followup on the Diet page of my PieEconomics blog.
