Now tell me, which weight moves first?

If Im seeing it correctly,  his pen is activating a hair trigger, which allows the
small weight to drop.    That pushes the small magnet,  which interacts
with the larger magnet.

Then the circle disc is turned, which pulls the heavier weight up.

They are saying that there is More energy out than input.

Ok, 

1) Magnets are under tension
2) Guy releases the tension with switch press
3) Large magnet fly away from the smaller mags
4) Which causes the disc to rotate
5) While pulls the string, to Lift the Heavy weight
6) And, the disc hits a release switch
7) Which drops the small weight, which moves the small magnets
8 ) Which pulls the large magnet back into place.

However, it does not explain how you of all people had

Thats pretty amazing man...
In terms of potential energy there is a definite gain in that video, though as other members have pointed out the users pen input is not accounted for. Altho I would assume the much larger weight could be able to lift the smaller weight and still have enough energy to trigger a release event. I hope some of the sites quick fab'ers like Clanzer will be attempting replication and confirmation of this device.
