@Dolce

You would need to use a water level detector of some sort to either keep the level above the electrodes or to add water when it gets low (I would say both to make sure you are safe).

@passion,

Very interesting Vid. Low Amps & Hi voltage, could do this with a car ignition coil. Use a power transistor or a early GM control module and away you go! just trigger it with a signal generator to get the right freq.

humm.. easy enough to try. Low cost as well, just get a couple of  Stainless Steel rods for the electrodes, cost for this should be below $50.00 USD for the project.

Cheers Nightlife, just saw that Passion had posted a link on the actual science of it....  I have a pile of carbon rods incased in copper from a cinema projector....  Gonna try this out....  ;)
Must find my shades   ;D

Great! Let us know how much gas you get at what amps?
I am going to try and get some carbon rods myself.....

Hello all,

I have an Aquafuel generator at home.  Not in use. It works great. As mentioned in a post before, 35V/10A = 350W on the secondary side of the transformer. On the primary, thats what you have to pay I measured 230V/1,5 - 2A.
I made it before my "adventure" with TPUs.

The good point is that the gas production is veeery large.When the water is warm, then, when the arc starts and you can see the big bubbles it seems like the water is cooking. A lot of large bubbles!! The bad is, that I consumed 1 carbon rod in 20 minutes. The carbon rods you have in 4,5V batteries.

If someone wants to build this you have to take care. The reactor should be at least 30 cm high, almost full of DESTILLATED water because there are released glowing carbon particles, sometimes, not always and when they get in contact with the produced gas......and not to forget the bubbler. It saves your live as has mine!!

If you want more informations just google Santili, magnegas.

I made the same but not soooo big. A feeding system, a compression system, storage...

As AM mentioned it would be interesting to try this with a high voltage or maybe better not to use pure DC but PULSED DC! Dont ask me about the frequency, ha! 42kHz??

Maybe it would work better with thungsten electrodes, pure thungsten? And dont look into the arc.
