Hi All,
how does it work, that one can heat wood or other biomass and
get a fluid fuel from it ?

Roy McAllister speaks in one of his videos
about using ? Terpene ? in his tank as fluid fuel
generated by heat destillation of biomass.

How does it exactly work to get these fluid fuels ?

I guess this would be much more practical
to use than just woodgas itsself, cause
then you don?t have to make fire in wood ,
when you want to drive around, but
just do it in 2 steps:
1. First generate enough fluid fuel from woodgas by destillation and store it in a tank.
2. Drive with the fluid fuel in your modified car engine.

So how does the woodgas to destillation process exactly work ?
Can somebody post a few links ?
Many thanks.

Regards, Stefan.

hello iv seen a few videos and have researched this awhile back. from what i understand all this does is turn the solid in to a gas and really all you have to do is condense it in to a liquid. what happens is that every metrial has a melting and evaporation temp., and when you apply the heat to the organic material, the alcohols and water in it are the first things evaporate. all you have to do is get the right condensing temp. and bingo you have methanol.

or at least this is the way i remember it,

i seen a pic of a tractor that had a gasification "machine" on it it was pretty neat, just thought i would through that in there

pardon any spelling or grammatical errors, i used the spell checker like 20 times but i don't think i got every thing
