Only thing I can think of at this time, is a Time Machine, which has already been mentioned here.

It is apparent that within the context of the surrounding verses you mentioned, if the cloud did not lift up, then they did not set out in their travels.  It also said, the Lord will meet you there.

I assume this allows one to time travel in the physical sense, instead of time traveling with your mind or thoughts, such as the Merkaba, which I did not look into in depth.

I am still studying this.
