Hi All,
I have installed a MOD to save the Personal messages as HTML Files.

See how it works:

Members can save PMs individually or all their PMs into a single HTML file.  It is possible to save the Inbox and Outbox in separate HTML files.  It is NOT possible at this time to select a set of PMs to save to an HTML file. We have made that request to the MOD author, who did include such an intent in the design of the MOD.  Should that feature be added, a notice will be placed over here.

Please be aware of the following points regarding this feature:

    * This MOD will NOT delete PMs.  It only copies them into an HTML file on your machine, unless there are embedded images.  In that case it will load the page into your browser and allow the browser to do the save, which will then capture all the images into the HTML file.  After one has captured individual PMs or all of them, it is up to you to do the deletions, if that is your intent.
    * IMPORTANT: If you have a lot of PMs you may get an error message.  The likely cause will be that the forum is too busy.  In that case, waiting until the forum is pretty much idle improves chances of downloading all the PMs.

How Does It Work?

    * Saving A Single PM
      When you look at the text of each PM you will see a new choice in the upper right corner, next to the Quote, Modify, and Remove commands, called "Save PM".  This will create an HTML file of that specific PM (the number of the PM is used as the filename, to prevent overwriting previously saved PMs).
    * Saving All PMs
      In the "Messages" command box to the left of the list of PMs is a new command, "Save all PMs".  This will list all your PMs, starting with the earilest, with lines between each PM.

If you have more than 250 messages this "Save all PMs" does not seem to work.
So save first a few single messages, then delete them from
your Inbox and then try again
"Save all PMs"
if you have less than 250 messages.

Please from time to time delete your old messages as
it fills up the database and I am forced to clean them up
by deleting them.

Many thanks for your cooperation.

Regards, Stefan.(admin)

Also all emails are working now again out of the forum,
so you can directly send emails to the email adresses of other users
you want to contact.
