Moved to new DataBase Server , sorry for the outage, should be faster now

Hi All,
I had to disable the forum today for a few hours,
cause I have moved the database to a new DataBase server.

Now the Forum is again much faster.

The old database server had some problems and was overcrowed with other
customers of my hoster, so I had to move the database to a different server.

As the database of the overunity forum is already 300 Mbytes big and the import normally
can take only at maximum 200 MB SQL files ,  I had to use a few tricks
to get the import done, that is, why it took so long.

But now it is all again working and the site is now also faster again, so the work
has paid out.

I am surprised that the whole site is only 300mb in size given all the graphics, downloads, etc.

If the site can fit on a CD, maybe you can offer a CD of the site for sale. This could help with raising some funds and also permit members to have a hard copy for offline researching, if that is possible.

Hi,
only the Text of the whole forum is already 300 MB.

With all the attachments it is almost 6 Gbytes or something like this..
