I've had the same problem and still do, XP sp3 ie7,
It has been there ever since overunity .com was changed to the new look, sometime earlier this spring.

However; it appears that there is a conflict with Adobe flash player that causes the problem. If removed, the pm's seem ok.
But without the flash player, movies eg youtube are not playable

OK, thanks. I'm using IE8, I just tried with Firefox however, and no problem here with sending PMs. I can't see the sent message in the Sent Items folder however, so I'm not sure if it actually has been sent?

Yeah, I have that particular problem occasionally, too.  Even if I send anything, it may not arrive at the addressee's mailbox until later, or not at all---that includes if I get the 'Sent' confirmation notice.

This shouldn't be happening, but it does anyway.  Murphy's Law.
Corollary to Murphy's Law:  Murphy was an optimist.   :(   ???   :P

I'm merely a theoretical electronics engineer/technician for now, since I have no extra money for experimentation, but I was a professional electronics/computer technician in the past.
As a result, I have a lot of ideas, but no hard test results to back them up---for now.  That could change if I get a job locally in the Bay Area of California.
